SMBC started as East Meadow Missionary Baptist Church on February 19, 1956 in downtown Springdale. As the church grew, property on the edge of town was purchased to build and relocate in 1968. Moving to a new area… and no longer on East Meadow St.… resulted in the name change to Springdale Missionary Baptist Church.
