Madera Avenue Bible Church is part of the Anabaptist family of churches in The American Church Story. 37 congregations of the Anabaptist family gather across California — 1,100 across the United States on The Church Map.
The Anabaptists paid with their lives for believers' baptism and freedom of conscience centuries before either was safe to hold, and every church in America now enjoys what they died for. Their disaster-relief crews, arriving quietly after every flood and fire, and their refusal to return violence remain a standing witness to the rest of us.

The community around Madera Avenue Bible Church
Within a few blocks of these doors, more than 3 in 10 renting households pay over half of everything they earn just to keep a roof over them. More than a third of households aren't sure there will be enough to eat, and about a third describe their own health as fair or poor. That is 2,200 neighbors — and some of them are already in these pews.
Pray for the families one rent increase away from moving, and for this church to know their names.
