But we believe that Jesus of Nazareth, crucified by the Romans almost 2000 years ago, was the Son of God. We believe that God raised Him from the dead, and that He ascended into the presence of God. We believe that His life and death fulfilled promises given by God at the beginning of time. Because God has been gracious to us and given His Son on our behalf, we submit ourselves to Christ's authority above all else.
