Inviting everyone into a transforming relationship with Jesus and his Church.
Church of the Resurrection holds to the biblical faith “once delivered to the saints” (Jude 1:3). Each Sunday, in our worship we proclaim the Good News: “Christ has died, Christ is risen, Christ will come again!” That is to say, by the blood of Jesus Christ, through the Holy Spirit, God is reconciling the world to Himself, not holding our sins against us but sending us instead as messengers of God’s saving love (2 Corinthians 5:19). Therefore, we joyfully follow Jesus in making disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19).

Church of the Resurrection is part of the Anglican and Episcopal family of churches in The American Church Story. 174 congregations of the Anglican and Episcopal family gather across Illinois — 6,378 across the United States on The Church Map.
Anglicans gave the English-speaking church the words it still prays in: the Book of Common Prayer, and a translation of Scripture that shaped four centuries of worship, writing, and speech. Holding evangelical, catholic, and liberal convictions inside one communion has made them a long school of patience for every tradition that came after.
