We believe that missions are an essential aspect of the life of the Church and are part of our “Move Out” strategy to serve outside our church walls to bring the Gospel to others through words and deeds.
At Southport, we take seriously the instruction from 1 Thessalonians 5:17 to “pray without ceasing.”

Southport Presbyterian Church is part of the Presbyterian family of churches in The American Church Story. 180 congregations of the Presbyterian family gather across Indiana — 11,641 across the United States on The Church Map.
Presbyterians gave American Christianity much of its backbone: seminaries, catechisms, and shared government by elders rather than by one man, a habit that shaped the country's civic life as much as its churches. They have been among the most persistent builders of colleges, hospitals, and mission agencies this nation has.
