Holy Family Church is part of the Methodist family of churches in The American Church Story. 449 congregations of the Methodist family gather across Louisiana — 25,989 across the United States on The Church Map.
Methodism gave the church the class meeting, the circuit rider, and the Sunday school, and gave America the conviction that grace is genuinely for everyone — carried into prisons, mines, and mill towns by preachers who owned almost nothing. Charles Wesley's hymns are still sung in nearly every tradition, most of them by people who have no idea whose they are.

The community around Holy Family Church
It takes 3.7 miles in every direction to gather two thousand neighbors around this church. Among the people scattered across those miles, more than 3 in 10 renting households pay over half of everything they earn just to keep a roof over them, and about a third describe their own health as fair or poor, and nearly a quarter of households aren't sure there will be enough to eat. A scattered parish is still a parish.
Pray for the families driving a long way to everything — to work, to a hospital, to this door on a Sunday morning.
