Assembly Christian Church began in 1978 with Pastor Roger & Lilly Myers. The church began on Wallnut Street in Laplace. Through growth, the church acquired a larger facility off of Hwy 51 in 2005. In 2019, Pastor Jonathan & Danielle Smith were voted in. In 2022, Pastor Jonathan had a dream from God of a school he walked into and felt the Holy Spirit. In the dream, God showed Pastor Jonathan the building.From that dream, Pastor Jonathan caught wind of that exact building about to be demolished, so he stepped in and offered to buy it.
