Church in Action History Steve and Lori Hicks planted Church In Action as a new church plant that celebrated their first service on December 4, 2011. The church began to meet in a small rented building in Mount Vernon MO. Over the next three years, God blessed them with the resources to purchase 10 acres just outside of Mount Vernon where they were able to build the current church building. The first service in the current location was on December 19, 2014. Since that time, God has continued to bless the fellowship in amazing ways.
