The community around New Morning Star Church

It takes 4.1 miles in every direction to gather two thousand neighbors around this church. Among the people scattered across those miles, more than 4 in 10 adults live with obesity, and more than a third of the children here are growing up below the poverty line, and about a third of households aren't sure there will be enough to eat. A scattered parish is still a parish.

Pray for the families driving a long way to everything — to work, to a hospital, to this door on a Sunday morning.
