Here at First Baptist Church Collins, we believe that God created everything (Genesis 1:1-2:7); that Jesus Christ is His Son who was born of a virgin and died for us to save us from our sins, was resurrected on the third day from the dead, and is the only way to get to Heaven (Isaiah 7:14, Matthew 1:18-23, Matthew 17:5, John 20:1-20, John 19); that when we become a Christian we receive the Holy Spirit that is God living within us (John 16:7-14, Acts 1:8); and that the Bible is the inspired Word of God and is absolute truth (Psalm 119:89, John 17:17, 2 Timothy 3:15-17).
