The Sanctuary is part of the Pentecostal (Trinitarian) family of churches in The American Church Story. 560 congregations of the Pentecostal (Trinitarian) family gather across North Carolina — 16,684 across the United States on The Church Map.
Pentecostalism began in a Los Angeles livery stable with Black and white believers worshiping together while segregation was the law, and it has become the fastest-growing Christian movement in history. Its recovery of the Spirit's gifts, and the songs it has written, have crossed into nearly every other tradition on this map.
