The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the other bodies descending from Joseph Smith's 1830 restoration teach that the New Testament church was restored through a modern prophet, and they read the Book of Mormon alongside the Bible. Latter-day Saints describe themselves as Christians; most trinitarian churches do not recognize their baptism. This map records that disagreement rather than settling it, and lists these congregations because they are part of the religious life of every place they are in.
