We are a church that takes seriously Jesus’ command in Matthew 28:19-20 to “make disciples,” so we intentionally and unapologetically focus on "Helping people find and follow Jesus" by uniting around a ministry vision we call the 7 Habits that develops and deploys our people to carry out a #ForGreen

First Christian Church is part of the Baptist family of churches in The American Church Story. 3,871 congregations of the Baptist family gather across Tennessee — 71,352 across the United States on The Church Map.
Baptists pressed harder than anyone for religious liberty in America, and the freedom every other congregation on this map enjoys is partly what they won. They have carried believers' baptism and the priesthood of every believer to more of the world than almost anyone — and the Black Baptist church has repeatedly been the conscience of the whole nation.
