Episcopal Church of the Transfiguration is part of the Anglican and Episcopal family of churches in The American Church Story. 458 congregations of the Anglican and Episcopal family gather across Texas — 6,378 across the United States on The Church Map.
Anglicans gave the English-speaking church the words it still prays in: the Book of Common Prayer, and a translation of Scripture that shaped four centuries of worship, writing, and speech. Holding evangelical, catholic, and liberal convictions inside one communion has made them a long school of patience for every tradition that came after.
