Pentecostalism began in a Los Angeles livery stable with Black and white believers worshiping together while segregation was the law, and it has become the fastest-growing Christian movement in history. Its recovery of the Spirit's gifts, and the songs it has written, have crossed into nearly every other tradition on this map.

The community around New Life Community Church
Within a few blocks of these doors, more than 3 in 10 renting households pay over half of everything they earn just to keep a roof over them. Nearly a quarter of the people here live without health insurance, and nearly a quarter of working-age adults live without health insurance. That is two thousand neighbors — and some of them are already in these pews.
Pray for the families one rent increase away from moving, and for this church to know their names.
