FaithfulWe commit to follow Jesus in everything we do. CommunityWe commit to celebrate the gift of living together in Christian community. Living GenerouslyWe commit to give our time, our money, and to grow in our generosity.

At St. James’s Episcopal Church, we live into the scripture from the first chapter of James that is inscribed above our altar, “Be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only.” We do this by being faithful, being in community, and living generously. We are the third oldest Episcopal congregation in Richmond, Virginia. Founded in 1835, we are uniquely situated in the Fan District.
