The community around Mountain Valley Chapel
It takes 4.1 miles in every direction to gather two thousand neighbors around this church. Among the people scattered across those miles, more than 2 in 10 renting households pay over half of everything they earn just to keep a roof over them, and nearly a quarter of adults here carry depression, and about 1 in 10 the people here were born in another country. A scattered parish is still a parish.
Pray for the families driving a long way to everything — to work, to a hospital, to this door on a Sunday morning.
