Heritage
Deeper Christian Life Ministry began in 1973 as a fifteen-person Bible study led by William Folorunso Kumuyi, then a mathematics lecturer at the University of Lagos, and grew into Deeper Life Bible Church — one of the largest congregations and church bodies in Africa. Its engine was never crusade spectacle but systematic Bible teaching joined to an uncompromising holiness ethic. US congregations serve the Nigerian diaspora and their neighbors in major cities, under the global ministry's oversight.

Holiness-Pentecostal: new birth, sanctification as a real and expected change of life, Spirit baptism and healing — with a seriousness about personal holiness (restitution, modesty, separation from worldliness) that is the church's signature.
