Heritage
The Worldwide Missionary Movement (Movimiento Misionero Mundial) was founded in Puerto Rico in 1963 by Luis M. Ortiz, a Pentecostal missionary with long service in the Caribbean, as a work devoted to world evangelization. From the island it spread through Latin America and beyond, building a substantial international fellowship with congregations, Bible institutes and media ministries — including its magazine Impacto Evangelístico — and it came to the mainland United States along the paths of Latin American migration, where its congregations serve Spanish-speaking communities.
Theological family
Trinitarian holiness-Pentecostal, conservative in temper: new birth, sanctified living with visible holiness standards, baptism in the Holy Spirit evidenced by tongues, divine healing, and urgent evangelization.
