It searches outward from wherever you are, out to 25 miles by default, and returns the churches meeting that day in order of distance. You can look at any day of the week, not only Sunday.

These times are read from each church's own website rather than typed in by the church, so every result carries how confident we are in the reading, and the original sentence is there to check. Where we are unsure, the page says so instead of presenting a guess as a fact. If the search itself fails it tells you it could not check — it never shows an empty list, because “nothing near you” and “we could not look” are completely different things.
