Episcopal Church of the Advent is part of the Catholic family of churches in The American Church Story. 392 congregations of the Catholic family gather across Massachusetts — 18,933 across the United States on The Church Map.
From the Catholic Church the whole body received the canon of Scripture, the creeds still recited every Sunday in traditions that never look to Rome, and monasteries that kept learning and Scripture alive through a thousand unlit years. Its parishes remain the largest network of schools, hospitals, and shelters in America, most of them serving people who will never attend a Mass.
