Loving God • Loving People • Reaching the World

First Baptist Church of Post was planted in 1907. Our Church body is a little over 150 people, but our Sunday Morning Services range from 90 - 120. Most members have a west Texas background, however, we aim to be a loving people and to welcome all of our guests. Although we are not perfect people and we make mistakes that do not honor God, we seek forgiveness and reconciliation in our relationships. We are people who have been rescued and redeemed by Jesus Christ. We strive to worship Him in all that we do.

First Baptist Church is part of the Baptist family of churches in The American Church Story. 7,378 congregations of the Baptist family gather across Texas — 71,418 across the United States on The Church Map.

Baptists pressed harder than anyone for religious liberty in America, and the freedom every other congregation on this map enjoys is partly what they won. They have carried believers' baptism and the priesthood of every believer to more of the world than almost anyone — and the Black Baptist church has repeatedly been the conscience of the whole nation.
